Dear readers
This was a tough day for the Wasps team as they faced NSW who are seeded 1.
It started well with Romy and Ryan winning the first boys double.
WA proceeded to lose the 2 girls doubles. Julian and Hong Yuan squared up by winning their doubles.
Ryan did his best and got us ahead with his singles win.
However we were not able to convert any of the girls singles.
Milain also fought a 3 setter but had to concede.
The final score was 11/5 with Bernice and Hong Yuan winning their mixed.
Likewise Bernice fought and lost a 3 setter.
These kids have given their all again for WA. Theodore and Alicia also fought a 3 setter but was not able to convert a point.
That means WA needs to win Vic to get another chance for the gold/silver fight.
The players had a quick rest before facing Vic 1.
Again it was a see saw day with both teams getting wins but more going Vic's way.
Many of the losses were 3 setters showing how close the fights were. The final score was again 12/4 showing how close the fights were.
That means the Wasps will have to fight for a bronze yet again. We were so hopeful that they could fight for a gold/silver.
Guess who they will be facing?
