The 2nd day for the Scorpions and the President's team

Dear readers

The Scorpions had to meet Tyzton's President's team.This was going to be interesting.

Darren and Matt went for a 3 setter to get the first point but had to concede. The girls' doubles were also lost.

Dawson and Timothy got the first point for the Scorpions. That was followed by a win by Sam Chew bringing the score to 3/2 in favour of the Presidents team.

We lost the 2 girls singles but Dawson and Timothy brought us back to square with their singles win.

The 2 young girls were not strong enough losing their singles.

The final score was 10/6 showing how close the fight was.

The Scorpions will have learned a lot from this game. Great for the young players.

The Scorpions had a rest before meeting Tasmania. They had an easier afternoon beating Tas 6/10.

I think Seryna had her first singles win. Good on her. Likewise Natasha.

That means the Scorpions will be fighting for 5/6 place. Not bad for such a young team.
