Dear readers
Every one knew today was going to be a tough day. WA played Vic and NSW.
It started at 9 am against Vic who are ranked no. 2. KC and SY lost their doubles which did not bode well.
Xiang and Jasper did not disappoint with a 2 set win. Meanwhile the girls were fighting hard but making little headway. Only SunYee, KC and Xiang managed any wins in their singles. Our hope for the mixed doubles was not good.
That's the nationals. We have not beaten Vic often.
I remember WA beating Vic for the first time after many years when Xiang and Tyz were in the Under 15s. They brought back the silver. We have not beaten Vic since, I think.
They still have the NSW team to sort out in the afternoon.
Good luck.
