Although losing to Vic, there was still a chance that WA could fight for silver.
They had to beat NSW to have a chance.
It was a tough gig. WA managed a 7-9 loss which was so close. The boys doubles went well with WA winning both. The girls doubles did not go well.
It was down to the singles. The boys did not disappoint. They won all their singles with Xiang going it tough in a 3 setter.
The girls could not get a game despite trying hard.
It was down to the Mix. It was so close. Xiang and Anjali lost in 3 sets. Xiang was on the ground giving everything he had. I know that Xiang always gives his best for WA. He has carried the team for so many years.
Only KC and Phoebe managed a win after another tough 3 sets.
So that means WA has to fight for a bronze yet again. They do have a chance as long as they beat SA.
This is not going to be easy. We beat the President's team 9/7. SA beat the President's team 11/5.
However SA lost to NSW 5/11 while WA lost to NSW 7/9.
There is a chance. The team has to stay focused.
Just trust in Xiang and KC. I believe they bring back a medal everytime they leave WA. Sunyee, Jasper and Jason will also bring the medal home for WA yet again. These boys never give up.
The girls have their work cut up for them tomorrow.
Keep fighting WA.
NSW Thunder (CPM1701)
